Ainembabazi relies on private donations to undertake our work.  As a registered charity compliant with the Canadian Revenue Agency (Charity Number 818595274RR0001), receipts for $20 or over are eligible for a tax receipt.

 

Our priorities include:

 

• Our micro-lending program has met with great success and our aim is to add $2,500 to the fund to allow the program to continue to build and become more self-sustaining. This program supports small producers, farmers and entrepreneurs to build their income and improve their family’s well-being and health.

• We are currently working to improve support to children and guardians who recently tested HIV positive through the provision of nutrition for one year to help get them get on their feet and strong. Our goal this year is to raise $400 to support the needs of these children.

• We have two primary schools that have been working hard to build classrooms to better support their students. We need to raise a total of $3,500 to complete the classrooms.

• We are hoping to enhance the training of local tailors to expand their skills and enable them a broader outreach of their products for sale. The training, sewing machines and additional materials are $1,500.

• We plan to deliver training throughout four communities on family planning with the Maria Stopes Foundation. Our goal is $1,200 for this project to take place.

As a 100% voluntary organization in Canada, you can feel safe that your dollar is making it's greatest impact on the ground in Uganda or with other project partners.  We are able to achieve more for each dollar given our small size and grassroots approach.
